A beautiful, southern French red Bordeaux blend with ripe blackcurrant notes and a refined, toasted wood aroma. Delicious with spicy stews or a delicious steak.
Description
After all available Viognier had been transferred to oak barrels in September, five unused new barrels remained. Pierre-André decided to fill these with optimally ripe Cabernet Sauvignon from his best plots. We tasted this wine and found the result stunning, but too oak-dominant. Why not blend it with the Merlot and Petit Verdot from the tank? The idea for a blend in the style of a good red Bordeaux was born. With the help of the talented oenologist Matthieu Dubernet, the result is even better than expected. A beautiful, southern French red Bordeaux blend with ripe blackcurrant notes and a refined, toasted wood aroma. Delicious with spicy stews or a nice steak.
