|Alentejo of high quality|
|beautiful aging aromas and seductive oak|
|smooth tannin from perfectly ripe grapes|
|fine outside of meals|
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah & Touriga Nacional
Full red wine with a powerful aroma of ripe red fruit (blackberries and currants) and fine oak. The taste is full and round and develops ripe, soft tannins. The finish is aromatic and persistent.
Regional Alentejo, Portugal
This 'colheita seleccionada' is made from four different grape varieties: Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Touriga Nacional. Together they provide expression and complexity in smell and taste. After fermentation, half of the wine is aged for about six months in large 400-litre oak casks. This is followed by the assembly with the non-oak aged wine. This creates a beautiful balance between ripe fruit tones and the influence of the oak. A beautiful alentejo wine that is also contemporary because of the soft tannin.
The vineyards of this beautiful domain are located in the Alentejo, east of Lisbon. According to many wine writers, this is currently the most exciting wine region in Portugal. For father and son, both with the name Alexandre Relvas, optimally ripe grapes and a sophisticated vinification are the conditions for full-bodied and soft wines. This distinguishes them from mass producers who have to work with less homogeneously ripe grapes.
Delicious with grilled lamb or beef, but also after meals.
NRC | Esmee Langereis - October 2020: The best and most special wines of 2020 | 8.5| Good wine doesn't have to be expensive
Good wine does not have to be expensive, but it is nice if your gift comes from under a tenner in a luxury bottle with a won gold medal sticker. The contents offer deep dark fruit and roasted coffee beans to extend the luxury experience.

De Grote Hamersma - May 2020: 8+ | Sterwijn: remarkably good | Portuguese red with a nice wide berry chest
Portuguese red with a nice wide berry chest. Serves us bay leaf, red orange and ripe blackberry. Then an espresso with a vanilla sweetness thanks to four months of wood. And the bill is, as is often the case in Portugal, very modest.
|Grape variety:||Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Touriga Nacional|
|Taste:||Full & Powerful|
|Wood maturation:||six months in large oak casks of 400 liters|
|What do we think?:||Gerrit: This is a delicious red wine for the catering industry. A good story completes the wine with its powerful taste.|
Hele prettige service
