Description

If you want to drink authentic Lugana, the Olivinis are the place to be. Their wines stand out from many others in the region with an invigorating freshness that creates a beautiful balance and easy drinking.

This is all the more important when it comes to richer wines, such as the magnificent Demesse Vecchie. The Olivinis make it from Turbian grapes harvested in one of the estate's Cru vineyards. They leave the grapes on the vines a little longer so they are fully ripe at harvest.


After hand-picking and strict selection, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Once fermented, the wine is aged on the lees for twelve months, 10% of which is in oak barrels for added complexity. After blending, the Lugana is aged in bottle for a further six months.

The result is impressive. The Demesse Vecchie is ripe, rich, and complex, yet never tiring or heavy. The freshness creates the right tension and balance, giving the wine a wonderfully long finish.
