A powerful dry white wine with a rich aroma of ripe tropical fruit and refined oak notes. This fine wine pairs well with many fish dishes, but also pairs beautifully with poultry or veal.

Description

DeMorgenzon Estate is not only a beautiful wine estate, but also a commitment to quality. The vineyards are situated in the higher, cooler parts of Stellenbosch, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. DeMorgenzon's philosophy: combining New World fruitiness and expressiveness with Old World elegance and refinement. This translates into wines with a pleasantly drinkable finish.

The Maestro White is a blend of about a quarter Roussanne and a quarter Chardonnay, complemented by roughly equal parts Grenache Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Viognier. The authoritative Platter's wine guide considers the Maestro White among the best white wines from South Africa.

The vineyards have a low yield of around 30 hectoliters per hectare, and the grapes possess a naturally fresh acidity. After fermentation, the Maestro White is aged for ten months in small oak barrels. After light filtration, it is bottled. The wine now boasts an impressive list of achievements, and we can only purchase a small quantity of this wine!
