Description

The northern Italian region of Alto Adige has a strong German-speaking history and is therefore often called South Tyrol. With approximately 1,800 hours of sunshine per year and an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, the high-altitude vineyards are an ideal production area for fresh and juicy white and red wines. The H. Lun winery, established in 1840, is the oldest independent producer in Alto Adige. Lun produces crystal-clear wines from its own 30 hectares of vineyards. Chardonnay is grown almost everywhere in the wine world, but the Lun Alto Adige Chardonnay, with its fresh nuances derived from the high-altitude vineyards, clearly holds its own. Naturally, it is cool-fermented and not aged in oak barrels to preserve all the grape aromas.
