Les Combes Chardonnay

Intensely fruity aroma with fresh fruit, banana and apple and a touch of oak. The taste sets in full, juicy and round and ends aromatic and soft.

White wine from Badet Clement

Chardonnay comes in many guises: from fresh, light and mineral, to full-bodied, powerful and wood-aged. This Les Combes chardonnay from the Languedoc falls more into the latter than the former, but without being bulky or heavy. The warm, southern French climate allows the chardonnay grapes to ripen optimally. This gives aromas and flavors of peaches and apricots and even a touch of tropical fruit. The acids are mild thanks to the warm climate. In addition, the wine gets some wood aging, which gives it a nice toasty smell and taste. Yet the wood is not predominant and the wine remains juicy and drinkable. This makes it the ideal house wine. Accessible, versatile and of a caliber that does not get boring quickly. Drink it as an aperitif or cocktail wine, with creamy cheeses, or with various meals such as salads, chicken from the oven or fish fried in butter.

Een chardonnay die vol smaakt maar ook fruitig is. Een topper wat mij betreft!
