Chardonnay comes in many forms: from fresh, light, and minerally to full-bodied, powerful, and oak-aged. This Les Combes Chardonnay from the Languedoc falls more into the latter category than the former, but without being heavy or ponderous. The warm, southern French climate allows the Chardonnay grapes to ripen optimally. This produces aromas and flavors of peaches and apricots, and even a hint of tropical fruit.
