100% top Malbec
A deep French red wine with aromas of black fruit and oak. The flavor is powerful and intense, making it an excellent match for beef, lamb, and game dishes.
Top wine from the South of France
This exceptionally fine Cahors Expression is the Gayraud family's flagship wine. It is made entirely from the local Côt grape, also known as Malbec. The grapes come from the estate's oldest vines, which produce a particularly low yield.
After a long maceration – for maximum extraction of color and flavor – the wine matures for twenty months in new oak barrels. For six months of this period, current winemaker Benjamin Gayraud (with his father Alain still acting as an advisor) uses the Madiran technique of microbullage: carefully bubbling the maturing wine with oxygen to soften the tannins.
Château Lamartines Expression is a premium wine from southwestern France that may be losing ground in reputation and image to more expensive and sophisticated Bordeaux rivals, but certainly not in quality. In short, this magnificent wine absolutely deserves a place in your wine selection!

| What do we think?: | Jerry: It really is a blast of a wine. The more than 100 year old vines make the grape really good. |
