Le Patapouf Chardonnay
This light yellow Patapouf Chardonnay is oak-aged and comes from the Languedoc. The oak aging imparts a very pleasant creaminess and richness to the wine. A fine example of a classic, rich Chardonnay like those from California. Only very pleasantly priced!
On the nose, one detects butter and vanilla that reappear on the palate. Robust and bold on the palate, and lush, creamy, and rich on the finish.
Jerry Heezen: You really shouldn't miss this Chardonnay. The nose features aromas of tropical fruit like mango and passion fruit. When you taste the wine, you can already detect the vanilla, along with the buttery notes that complete the experience.
Le Patapouf, also known as the fatso, is the perfect name for the Chardonnay in the bottle.
