Piedmont Italy

Red wine from Italy, with a fruity, slightly spicy aroma with nuances of ripe blackberries and cherries. The taste is juicy, full, and aromatic. Delicious with cold dishes, sausages, and salads, or lightly spiced grilled dishes.

Tenuta Olim Bauda

The vineyards of Tenuta Olim Bauda are located in the warmest part of the region. Partly due to this, the grapes ripen fully. This is very important, as the Barbera grape, if insufficiently ripe, has a harsh, unpleasant acidic taste structure. The grapes from the 'La Villa' plot are not picked by hand until the first half of October. Immediately upon arrival in the cellar, a rigorous selection takes place and the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks. Aging also takes place in these tanks; oak aging is not used, and as a result, La Villa retains a maximum of ripe red fruit.
