Piedmont Italy
Red wine from Italy, with a fruity, slightly spicy scent with nuances of ripe blackberries and cherries. The taste is juicy, full and aromatic. Delicious with cold dishes, sausages and salads or lightly seasoned grill dishes.
Tenuta Olim Bauda
The vineyards of Tenuta Olim Bauda are located in the warmest part of the region. Partly because of this, the grapes become fully ripe. Very important, because the Barbera grape has a hard, unpleasant sour taste structure if it is not ripe enough. The grapes from the 'La Villa' plot are only picked by hand in the first half of October. Immediately after arrival in the cellar, a strict selection takes place and the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks. Maturation also takes place in these tanks; Oak maturation is not an issue and therefore La Villa retains a maximum of ripe red fruit.
