Refined dry white wine with ripe apple and floral nuances in the scent. The taste is fresh and round in structure and ends aromatically with a smooth aftertaste.
Gavi, DOCG Piemonte
Gavi, the wine region in Piemonte is also so well known because of its easy-to-hear and easy-to-remember name! However, the brothers Gianni and Dino Bertolino of Olim Bauda do not need that help. Their Gavi is a delicious, refreshing and flavor-inducing white wine from the Cortese grape, which is also typified by the calcareous soil in the vineyards. Almost self-evidently made without wood aging to retain maximum freshness. Well done because, in addition to the beautiful, fresh-mild acids, the taste also has ripe notes of stone fruits. This means that the grapes are perfectly ripe and healthy, harvested at exactly the right time. It is quite understandable that Italians like to drink the fresh Gavi in the summer, for example with fried zucchini flowers.
