A delicious, juicy, modern wine

The white Las Cuadras is a textbook example of a juicy, modern wine with crystal-clear fruit and grape aromas. The Viognier and Muscat grapes are hand-picked in the early, cool morning hours and taken directly to the cellar. There, they are quickly transferred to the cold room, where they remain for approximately forty-eight hours.



This cold maceration technique allows for the slow and delicate extraction of aromas from the grape skins. This is evident in the refined and beautifully fragrant Las Cuadras, which incidentally means "the stables." And with good reason, as the new fermentation cellar was built on the site where the horses were once stabled.


Spanish bestseller
Costers del Segre (located west of Barcelona) is a designation of origin that's much less well-known than, say, Rioja. But off the beaten track, Spain offers plenty of wines with exceptional value. Like this wine!

Las Cuadras was created for us by the talented oenologist Valva Martínez de Toda. In the Catalan village of Flix—about 150 kilometers west of Barcelona—she has been crafting exquisite wines for twelve years.

The climate in this beautiful, hilly part of Catalonia is Mediterranean, but with continental influences. This means warm days and relatively cool nights. Ideal for a winemaker who wants to make smooth, drinkable, and refreshing wines.
