Pinot noir is the grape with which Palliser Estate and the Martinborough region are causing a furore. More than half of most of the southern wine region on the North Island is pinot noir. The same is the case with Palliser. It is not for nothing that they call the Pinot Noirs their flagship wines.

The Pencarrow is the entry-level wine of the domain. It is made in a similar way to the Estate series, but in a more accessible, soft style and for a very sympathetic price.

The Pencarrow Pinot is characterized by a beautiful combination of fresh elegance on the one hand and a good structure on the other. This makes the wine not only delicious to drink on its own, but also excellent for use at the table. Drink it for the next three years, for example in combination with chicken or mushrooms.

Fruity, smooth Pinot Noir that pairs well with lamb and spicy Mediterranean dishes. Lightly chilled at its best.

Light ruby red in color with a subdued aroma expression of red fruits (forest strawberry, cranberry), rosehip and sage. Seductively fruity, juicy and round in taste with a good freshness. Refined, soft and slightly spicy in the aftertaste.

Drink now; shelf life until about four to five years after harvest.
