Riedel Veloce Riesling wine glass (set of 2)

Riedel's Veloce series is the result of a fine example of technology. The glasses are machine made, but feel as if they are mouth blown. Feather-light and wafer-thin, they fit wonderfully in the hand and you hardly feel it when you put them to your lips.

Veloce Riesling designed Riedel in such a way that the glass perfectly emphasizes the sweet-acid balance. You can serve both dry and sweet Rieslings from this glass, from a refined Kabinett to an intensely sweet Trockenbeerenauslese. Thanks to the spacious chalice, not only classic Rieslings from Germany, Austria or Alsace, for example, do well in these glasses, but Rieslings from Australia or New Zealand, among others, also look perfect in them.

Riedel has come up with a new trick for this series: the grape variety is stated on the foot of the glass. This way you can easily see at a glance which glass you need to take out of the cupboard for which purpose.

And the name Veloce? This refers to the ever faster developing technology, which means that machines can now almost imitate traditional glass blowing. A good thing, because it makes the production process a lot more efficient.
