Riedel's Veloce series is the result of a fine example of technology. The glasses are machine made, but feel as if they are mouth blown. Feather-light and wafer-thin, they fit wonderfully in the hand and you hardly feel it when you put them to your lips.

Riedel designed Veloce Sauvignon Blanc in such a way that the expressive aroma and fresh acidity of wines made from the grape of the same name are perfectly expressed. The glass is suitable for all styles of Sauvignon Blanc, from classic Loire and expressive Marlborough to wood-aged Bordeaux.

Riedel has come up with a new trick for this series: the grape variety is stated on the foot of the glass. This way you can easily see at a glance which glass you need to take out of the cupboard for which purpose.

And the name Veloce? This refers to the ever faster developing technology, which means that machines can now almost imitate traditional glass blowing. A good thing, because it makes the production process a lot more efficient.
