Jürgen von der Mark is what you would call a striking winemaker. In addition to graduating as an oenologist from the University of Geisenheim, he was also the first German Master of Wine at the prestigious British Institute of Masters of Wine.
He makes his wines in the south of Baden, not far from Burgundy. Here he focuses on making wines from the Burgundersorten. Spätburgunder (pinot noir) is his great love, but Jürgen also knows what to do with the weissburgunder (pinot blanc).
For this cuvée he obtains the grapes partly from his own vineyards and partly from winegrowers' friends. All vines are at least twenty years old, which gives the wine a nice concentration of flavor. Once at the winery, Jürgen gently presses the Weissburgunderd grapes. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks and a small part in tonneaux. The Weissburgunder then ripens on the yeasts until bottling.
It produces a wonderfully juicy, original and refreshing white wine, which works well as a cocktail wine, an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to light dishes. Jürgen himself aptly describes it as 'unser Wein zu Sonne und Fisch'. We get thirsty!

Light yellow colored, soft dry white wine with an inviting scent of ripe pear, apple and toast. Pronounced juicy and full of mild acidity and a good length in taste. Delicious drinkable.
Ready to drink and can be kept for about 3 years after harvest.
