Incredibly tasty pinot noir
With beautiful grape expression
Very Burgundian style; complex with elegant fruit notes
Mild and soft in taste
German red wine with an intense aroma of herbal cherry jam and light oak. The taste is mild and smooth. Delicious with refined game veal or lightly seasoned lamb.
Christoph and Johannes Thörle make incredibly tasty pinot noir on limestone-rich soil in the northern part of Rheinhessen. Insiders consider the winery of the two talented brothers as the most emerging domain in Rheinhessen. The impressive red Hölle Spätburgunder comes from the best vineyard of the same name in Saulheim with a very low yield of an average of 27 hectoliters per ha. After the fermentation in open wooden barrels, which lasts 20 to 30 days, the wine is then aged for 20 months in large oak casks. Nevertheless, the influence of the wood on the smell and taste is well dosed and it is precisely the pinot noir grape that comes to a beautiful expression.
