A concentrated Beaujolais
Jean Paul Brun is the idiosyncratic and much talked about winemaker and owner of the Terres Dorées family estate in the south of Beaujolais. He makes authentic, natural wine with a great purity in aroma and taste and a moderate alcohol content. Brun went against the current of winemakers who use additives and artifice to make lemonade-like Beaujolais with a scent of candy and banana.
This Beaujolais cru is much more concentrated than an average Fleurie because Brun has a naturally low yield in the vineyard. The yield per vine is lower but the harvested grapes have more strength and flavor. A beautiful, very pure wine with a long finish.
