Alice Brachetto d'Acqui
A delightfully fresh, sparkling red wine with delicate aromas of fresh red fruit, such as strawberries and red berries. The palate is juicy and balanced sweetness, with a subtle sparkle. The finish is round and smooth.
Piedmont Brachetto
Brachetto is a unique Piedmontese wine. This red counterpart to the white Moscato d'Asti is made from the Brachetto grape and has a similar sweetness and a moderate alcohol content. The grapes come from the Monferrato hills in southern Piedmont. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are briefly soaked in the juice. They are then fermented at a very low temperature in a closed tank. Once the alcohol reaches approximately 5%, fermentation is stopped by deep cooling and filtering. This preserves the sweetness of the grapes and the carbon dioxide from fermentation in the wine. It is at its best within two years of the harvest.
