Tasting note DMZ Chenin Blanc Reserve

A powerful white wine from South Africa with aromas of citrus, oak, and flint. Its full, dry flavor makes it a perfect pairing with seafood and shellfish.

Description

De Morgenzon is not only a beautiful wine estate, but also dedicated to producing quality. The vineyards are situated in the higher, cooler regions of Stellenbosch, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. De Morgenzon's philosophy is that high-quality Stellenbosch wine combines the fruit of the New World with the elegance of the Old World. This translates into wines with pleasant drinkability. The oak-aged Chenin is considered one of South Africa's finest white wines. The Stellenboschkloof vineyards produce a low yield (30 hl/ha) with naturally fresh acidity. After pressing, the Chenin is fermented and aged (8 months) in small barrels. After light filtration, bottling follows.
