Beautiful rosé from Mont Ventoux
French rosé with a salmon-pink hue. The aroma is spicy and fruity with slightly spicy notes. The flavor is full, dry, and lingering. Delicious with fresh and spicy Mediterranean dishes and light grilled dishes.
Frédéric and Lucile Delay cultivate 15 hectares of vineyards at the foot of Mont Ventoux. They are primarily grown with older vines—up to 50 years old—which produce a variety of wine styles. The rosé is made primarily from Grenache grapes (70%), supplemented with 20% Syrah and 10% Carignan.
The grapes are harvested very early in the morning so they arrive cool in the cellar. This is a crucial detail that preserves the fresh grape aromas. After a brief maceration with the skins, the grapes are pressed and fermented at a low temperature. The spiciness so typical of Rhône wines is clearly noticeable, making this wine very appealing to lovers of spicy, dry rosé.
