Pecorino typical Italian
A full-bodied, dry white wine from Italy with aromas of ripe yellow fruit and subtle toasted notes. The palate is full and creamy. Delicious with flavorful fish dishes and also pairs well with young cheeses.
Offida DOCG
The beautiful, high-altitude organic vineyards of the De Angelis azienda are located around the towns of Castel di Lama and Offida. Here, Alighiero and Quinto Fausti cultivate, among other varieties, the Pecorino grape, a varietal native to the Marche region.
The grapes are picked and pressed as cool as possible—early in the morning—after which fermentation follows quickly. This is crucial for preserving fruity aromas. The result is a modern, pure, and powerful wine with plenty of originality. The aroma is full and fruity, and the taste is wonderfully fresh.
In 2011, Offida was awarded Italy's highest quality category, the DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita). A special recognition for the efforts of the winemakers in this attractive wine region.
The 2015 Slow Wine Guide lists this Pecorino as De Angelis's best white wine, including the (€) symbol for its excellent value. Other major Italian wine guides (Gambero Rosso and Duemilavini) also offer glowing reviews. This wine deserves your attention!
