French red wine made from the mourv̬dre- grenache and cinsault grape. Spicy fruity aroma and a full powerful taste. This spicy wine is delicious with grilled meat or game.
Beautiful vineyard in the northwest of the appellation, situated high for Bandol, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Provencal mountains. Bandol appeals to the imagination with 300 days of sunshine and a tempering sea breeze. Provided in good hands, the mourvèze grape - 'the king of the grape varieties' - ripens perfectly here. The best Bandols have long been among the great, classic wines of France. Owner Agnès Henry makes very elegant and refined wines at Domaine de la Tour du Bon, partly due to its relatively cool location. The red bandol contains 55% mourvèdre, supplemented with grenache and cinsault from old vineyards with a low yield (25 hl / ha). After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in large oak barrels.
