Susumaniello
A full-bodied, deep red wine from Italy with intense aromas of ripe fruit, plums, and vanilla. Pairs well with stews and is delicious with barbecue or creamy cheese.
Specialty from Puglia
The wide variety of native grape varieties is characteristic of Italian winemaking. A wine lover on a journey of discovery will always find something special here.
Like Susumaniello, a nearly extinct grape variety found on a small scale and exclusively in Apulia. A 2008 study, incidentally, shows a strong affinity with the Sangiovese, so famous in Tuscany.
Winemaker Angelo Maci has the grapes hand-picked and transported to the cellar in small containers. After fermentation, they are aged in small oak barrels for about six months. The result is a full-bodied, dark red wine that retains a wonderful freshness thanks to the varietal characteristics. A beautiful wine from a unique grape!
