David Nieuwoudt is currently the 5th generation owner of this beautiful winery in the northern part of South Africa. The vineyards are situated in the eponymous Cederberg region at an altitude of over 1,000 meters. The cool and very remote location results in a virus-free vineyard. Cederberg wines distinguish themselves through elegance and purity of fruit aromas and flavors, and are avid medal winners.

The Shiraz is also known internationally as Syrah and thrives in Cederberg. The wine is made using modern methods with cold maceration before the relatively cool and short fermentation. This is followed by 15 months of aging in primarily French Allier oak barrels.
