Château de la Jaubertie Sauvignon Blanc 2022

 

Juicy fresh dry Bergerac with fine yellow fruit in the nose and light citrus notes. The taste is aromatic and has a long, fresh and balanced aftertaste.

 

 

Fresh sauvignon grapes, supplemented with ripe, mild sémillon (15%), form the basis of this refined-tasting Bergerac. The grapes are harvested at night so that they can be processed cool. After picking, the peel is briefly soaked, which produces maximum fruit nuances.

For more complexity in the assembly, winemaker Hugh Ryman lets about 20% of the wine ferment in used oak barrels. The wine then remains in contact with the yeast cells for almost four months and is minimally filtered. The result is top: refined, fragrant and juicy and ideal as a non-dominant accompaniment to beautiful dishes.

A stark contrast to wines often produced on a large scale, which expressively smell of sweets and boxwood due to technical interventions in the wine cellar. A permanent fixture in our range for many years.
