Description
Nowhere in California is the climate as diverse as in the Monterey wine region. You'll find no fewer than four different climate zones, ranging from relatively cool to quite warm.
Granite Coast Vineyards is considered one of the region's leading producers, with vineyards located in various microclimates. This allows the estate to produce diverse wine styles from different grape varieties.
The grapes for this elegant Pinot Noir are sustainably grown in the cooler northern part of Monterey. Conditions here are perfect for early-ripening Pinot Noir. Once harvested, the grapes are rigorously selected and destemmed. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in a mix of new and neutral French oak barrels.
It produces a silky, elegant Pinot Noir with a beautiful balance of ripe fruit, crisp acidity, and a generous dose of oak. With notes of red fruit, forest floor, and toast, it's a wonderful accompaniment to dishes featuring mushrooms or creamy white mold cheeses.
Drinking at
An elegant, fruity red wine, best enjoyed slightly chilled. Delicious on its own with duck salad, grilled chicken, mushroom cannelloni, or mature white mold cheeses.
Tasting note
A light ruby-red wine with open aromas of cherry, red currant, rosehip, and bay leaf. An elegant Pinot Noir with jammy red fruit, lovely freshness, and fine tannins on the palate. The finish is smooth with sweet-sour cherry and toasted toast.

Drink from 3 years and keep well for 7 to 8 years after harvest.
