Favorite in young white Alsace
Revue du Vin de France names Etienne Loew's sylvaner as a favorite in the 'young white Alsace' category. This wine finished in second place (just behind the famous Domaine Weinbach) as the best sylvaner! A beautiful result that does justice to the special way in which the passionate Etienne works. The taste-determining factors? Low yields from vines that are over eighty years old, organic plantings and the special method of vinification - with a long, controlled alcoholic fermentation to produce dry white wine.
When asked, Etienne says she almost thinks it's a shame to drink the wine so young. Loew's goal is to 'rehabilitate' the sylvaner and return it to the reputation that he believes suits this grape. The beautiful Vérité has a great concentration and is an excellent culinary wine that can be served with many dishes.
