Tasting note La Cour des Dames Cabernet

Bright red fruity and accessible southern French wine with fresh notes of red fruit berries and a touch of oak. Delicious with cold dishes or barbecue dishes.

Description

Laurent Delaunay responsible for the La Cour des Dames wines comes from a family with a long history in Burgundy. After training in oenologue and work experience in California, among others, he established himself in 1995 as an independent winemaker in France near Nuits-Saint Georges. In addition to a specialization in high Burgundy, he soon focused on the selection of high quality wine in the South of France. The seductive cabernet sauvignon comes from high vineyards in the Cevennes (for fruit and roundness) and Aude (for strength and structure). After fermentation, about 10% of the wine matures in small oak casks. Then the assembly is made. A very successful southern French cabernet!
