Description

Renowned winemaker Stephan von Neipperg is responsible for Bulgaria's Domaine Bessa Valley. This ancient wine region is located about 150 kilometers southeast of Sofia. From Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, and Petit Verdot grapes, he produces a highly accessible red wine, aged in oak. Von Neipperg's quality standards are high. This "entry-level" wine therefore has a luxurious aroma and flavor that far exceeds most Bulgarian wines. The vineyards were only planted in 2005, so the vines are still relatively young. The vinification process has been adapted accordingly, resulting in a smooth wine.
