A complex, rich Chardonnay with aromas of toast and ripe yellow fruit. The palate is powerful and elegant. Delicious with many fish appetizers and also wonderful with refined pâté.

Description

Every year, winegrowers in the Limoux region of southern France organize a gastronomic festival where proceeds from wine sales benefit the restoration of the church in the village hosting the event. A top chef with three Michelin stars presides over the event. This event, called Toques et Clochers, has become a phenomenon in culinary circles.

Within the region, wines from the various terroirs are bottled separately. The vineyards of the Autan terroir are located on the hills surrounding the town of Limoux in the heart of the wine region. Here, the climate is the warmest and driest in the area. As a result, this wine is the first of the four terroirs to be ready to drink. After harvest, as with many great white wines, fermentation and aging takes place in small oak barrels.
