excellent wine from leading wine company
very successful combination of cabernet sauvignon and the native primitive grape
rich, full-bodied red wine with a smooth taste
an absolute must!
Tasting note Due Palme Albrizzi
Deep red wine from southern Italy with the aroma of stewed fruit and new oak. Great wine to drink. But the full-bodied taste also combines well with spicy dishes of pizza or barbecue dishes.
Angelo Maci is not only an excellent winemaker but also a man with vision. He started a small cooperative in 1989 to give his birthplace Salento in the southern Apulia the recognition it deserves. In the meantime - almost 25 years later - the Cantine Due Palme has become one of the leading wine companies in Southern Italy.
Angelo's top wine Selvarossa has already received the highest rating in the Gambero Rosso three times. But there's more! Like the red Tenuta Albrizzi with the unusual but very successful combination of cabernet sauvignon and the native primitive grape. These grapes are picked by hand and once again visually selected for quality before fermentation.
The wine then ripens for six months on small casks of the finest quality oak from the French department of Allier and the Tronçais forest. The full round and slightly spicy taste harmonises beautifully with the noble and luxurious oak smell and taste. If you like rich full red wine with a smooth taste, then this is an absolute must. Awarded a gold medal at the 2014 Vinitaly wine competition.

Tastefully very suitable with spiced dishes and dishes from the grill, but also to drink in the evening after a meal.
