Tasting note Jean-Paul Brun Beaujolais Morgon
Beautiful full red wine with the scent of ripe red fruit and a pure full but balanced taste. Great with spicy starters or spicy meat dishes.
Description
Jean Paul Brun is the quirky and much-discussed winemaker and owner of the Terres Dorées family estate in the south of Beaujolais. He makes authentic artless wine with a high purity in smell and taste and a modest alcohol content. At an early age, Brun went against the flow of winemakers who made additions and artifacts to create lemon-like Beaujolais that smelled of candy and banana.
Morgon is seen by many as one of the most interesting cru areas because of the fresh and powerful style of the wines. Jean Paul Brun's vineyard is located in southern Morgon on a volcanic surface. This is a wonderful culinary wine that works best in combination with dishes.
Wine magazine Proefschrift:
However, the wines are anything but 'Parkerian blockbusters' in the form of a lot of color, a lot of alcohol, a lot of wood and a lot of matter. They excel in digestibility, light-heartedness and the purest grape expression.
