Caruso e Minini
Bright red color, beautifully aromatic with ripe fruit notes, a hint of caramel, and mild spice. The palate is full and balanced, developing a mild tannin and aromatic finish.
Intense Fruit harvested by hand
A beautiful 50/50 blend of the intensely fruity Frappato, whose cherry aromas are reminiscent of Pinot Noir, and the robust Nerello Mascalese. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks.
About a third is then aged for four months in small oak barrels, creating a seductive and refined wood dosage. The final blend boasts unmistakably beautiful fruity notes and a delightful smoothness from the oak aging.
This is a beautiful example of modern winemaking while preserving the character of traditional grapes. Stefano Caruso thus demonstrates the quality of the relatively unknown winemaking in the province of Trapani. Delicious!
