Description
Meursault is one of Burgundy's most famous white wines. The vineyards are located in the Côte de Beaune, south of the city of Beaune. While the Côte de Nuits (north of Beaune) is renowned for its quality red wines, the Côte de Beaune is renowned for its high-quality white Burgundy wines. Meursault is a prime example. Numerous winemakers produce various styles of white wine from just 364 hectares. These range from full-bodied Chardonnays from the low-lying, clay-rich vineyards to a more complex and fresher style from the chalky slopes. Vincent Bouzereau makes the latter type of wine with great power and finesse. It's best to aerate the wine for an hour before serving!
