Jean Paul Brun is the idiosyncratic and much-discussed winemaker and owner of the Terres Dorées family estate in the south of Beaujolais. He makes authentic, unadulterated wine with great purity of aroma and flavor and a modest alcohol content. Brun was an early adopter of winemakers who, with additives and tricks, create lemonade-like Beaujolais wines that smell of candy and banana.

Morgon is considered by many to be one of the most interesting cru regions because of the fresh and powerful style of its wines. Jean Paul Brun's vineyard is located in the south of Morgon on volcanic soil. This is a beautiful culinary wine that is best paired with food.
