Fragrant Spanish red wine. Beautiful deep red hue; fine and powerful aroma with spicy nuances and ripe fruit notes. Smooth, fresh start with a gentle evolution and soft tannins on the finish. Excellent with lightly spiced starters and grilled dishes. Ready to drink now, keeps well for 4 to 5 years after harvest.
Description
The Las Cuadras wines from the rugged Catalan region of Costers del Segre are a real asset to our assortment. This is especially true for this impressive Crianza: what an incredibly good and original wine, and at such a modest price! What you call a find.
Although winemaker Valva Martínez de Toda has planted a wide variety of grape varieties, the Crianza is made from two true classics: Grenache and Syrah. Because she believes that good wines originate in the vineyard, she pays close attention to vineyard maintenance.
However, she leaves nothing to chance in the winemaking process either and makes use of the most modern techniques. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine ages for about nine months in both French and American oak barrels. After this, the wine ages in the bottle for at least another six months.
Preferably drink this luxurious, fragrant, and flavorful Crianza at the table with a variety of hearty dishes, ranging from mashed potatoes to grilled or braised meat, to aged cheese.
