100% Impressive Viognier
An impressive white wine made from 100% Viognier from the Rhône region of France. Opulent on the nose, with aromas of apricot, honey, and a touch of toast. Rich and concentrated, with a lingering finish. Excellent with refined, rich poultry or veal dishes.
Rémi Niero with his top quality
Rémi Niero is a third-generation winemaker with plots in Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie, two prestigious appellations in the Northern Rhône. Niero's production is very limited, but his wines represent the best the Rhône has to offer.
The Condrieu Les Ravines is a Viognier made from several prime plots with pure granite soil. The vineyards are very steep, so the soil and vines are tended almost entirely by hand, with meticulous attention to detail.
After harvest, fermentation and aging largely take place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's fruitiness. A small portion (40%) is aged in used French oak barrels for added roundness. Les Ravines is a Condrieu with a distinctly lively character and intensely fruity flavor, making it ideal for drinking young.
