Alsace is a well-known producer of white wines. However, there is also a limited production of red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape. Due to Alsace's unique, sheltered location, the region is quite warm and dry. This allows Pinot Noir to thrive there, despite its relatively northerly location.

Winemaker Fernand Engel converted to organic grape cultivation years ago. Since 2006, all of Engel's vineyards have been Ecocert-certified. Pinot Noir's smooth and refreshing character makes it perfect for enjoying chilled.
