A full, rich white Soave
A rich yellow hue and complex aroma, with notes of ripe peach, apricot, and apple. The balanced, full, dry flavor concludes with a long, aromatic, and refreshing finish. A rich wine.
Sandro & Claudio Gini
Soave ranges from very mediocre to superb. The Soave from brothers Sandro and Claudio Gini falls into the latter category and is one of the very best in the region. Gini's secret lies in limited production, healthy vines that are sometimes up to 80 years old, and expert vinification. The Contrada Salverenza is made from 100% Garganega grapes, hand-harvested. A unique feature is that this white wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and then matures on the lees for approximately nine months in small oak barrels. The wine magazine Perswijn rated this white wine the best in the region in a large comparative Soave tasting.
