The perfect Christmas wines Paradox

Deep dark red color with the aroma of ripe black fruit, spices, and light oak. The taste starts full and powerful, almost sultry, with nuances of freshly roasted coffee. The finish is long and persistent.

Special bottle, also available in white

Since the 2009 vintage, Louis-Marie and François Teisserenc have adjusted the style of their top wine, the Paradoxe. The proportion of Bordeaux grapes is being gradually reduced, while that of the typical Southern French grape varieties Syrah and Grenache is being increased. The Syrah vineyard is of phenomenal quality and now accounts for nearly 60% of the blend.

The grapes are harvested by hand with a yield of 35 hl/ha, which is very limited for this region. After fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in new oak barrels. A method befitting a high-level wine.

Starting with the 2009 vintage, Arjolle uses largely new barrels from famous Burgundy coopers such as Mercurey Chassin and Seguin Moreau. These barrels limit the direct influence of the oak but, above all, impart elegance and finesse. A great wine!
